Brand identity - Promotional Posters
Look Around You is an indie events promoter based in Melbourne (Naarm), operating as a community-focused collective that celebrates local and diverse talent. Rather than relying on rigid branding, Look Around You prioritises connection, inclusivity, and the shared experience of live music and creative events.
My work with Look Around You centres around the design of posters for their regular events held across Melbourne. Each poster is concept-driven, drawing inspiration from the featured artists’ favourite animals. These playful themes are clearly reflected throughout the artworks, creating a distinct visual identity for each event while maintaining an approachable and welcoming tone.
In addition to the posters, I designed a playful logo intended for use across Instagram profile imagery and as physical stickers plastered around the city and handed out at events. The branding was approached with a sense of fun and flexibility, reflecting the fact that strict visual identity is not the core of Look Around You’s ethos.

Instead, the posters act as the primary visual voice of the collective pushing back against the “Naarm core” aesthetic and creating friendly, enticing visuals that invite everyone in. The overall aim is to foster inclusive, accessible events that feel warm, community-driven, and open to any human.
